Taylor Elected to Board of Directors
The National Association for Campus Activities is pleased to announce Quantá Taylor, Ed.D. from the University of Louisville (KY) has been elected to the Association's Board of Directors as a general board member. Dr. Taylor will serve a three-year term starting May 1, 2024. Online voting took place from February 26 to March 4.
"I am greatly looking forward to working with Quantá this upcoming year as he brings his knowledge, skills, and experiences to the Board," stated Courtney James, who will become Chair of the Board of Directors on May 1. "His insight and perspectives on the higher education industry and the Association will be invaluable as we continue to focus on bringing the strategic plan to life."
Dr. Taylor currently serves as the Executive Director of Student Involvement at the University of Louisville. At UofL, Quantá oversees a vast portfolio of areas including: campus programs, leadership programs, student organizations, domestic and international service learning, community engagement, fraternity and sorority life, and the campus food pantry.

In addition to being a long-time volunteer for the Association, Dr. Taylor is affiliated with the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in American Higher Education where he just completed a 10-year term with the National Advisory Council as Chair of Student Participation and Leadership. Quantá received his undergraduate degrees in Cultural, Ethnic, and Racial Studies and Psychology from Transylvania University (KY), as well as earned a master's degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs and completed doctoral work in Educational Studies, with a concentration in Higher Education Administration, at the Ohio State University.
The Board of Directors is made up of nine volunteers of current school member institutions. The board exists to serve the Association's membership and works together as a team to strategize, plan, and oversee NACA's future health and viability. The board consists of three officers – chair, chair-elect, and immediate past chair (who also serves as treasurer), and six general board members.
Board members are the Association leaders who guide the organization towards a vibrant and sustainable future by adopting and adhering to sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies.
