After careful consideration, the Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming NACA Birmingham conference, which was scheduled to occur Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2024, in Birmingham, AL.
This year’s hurricane season has created many challenges for the Southeast. Our hearts go out to our members, as well as their families and friends, impacted by the catastrophic destruction of Hurricane Helene and our thoughts are with those preparing for Hurricane Milton’s impending landfall. We recognize the challenges created by these storms are not likely to improve leading up to the conference and we understand our members’ primary concerns are their safety, recovery, and healing right now. At this point, we anticipate an attendance at NACA Birmingham that would significantly impact our ability to deliver a high-quality conference experience for both the school attendees and the artists, agents, and companies looking to do business at the event, so the Board has determined cancelation to be the most prudent course of action.
We understand this cancelation news is disappointing, and we deeply apologize for any inconveniences this may cause, but we wanted to provide as much advance notice given the circumstances. We are grateful to the South Regional Leadership Team and other NACA volunteers who worked to bring this conference to life and saddened their vision will not come to fruition. NACA conferences are always a lot of work, and we are greatly appreciative of these volunteers - especially given that many of them are dealing with the impacts of the recent storms near their homes and schools.

Fall conferences in Providence, Lexington, and Riverside will continue as planned.
